Directions to Apartment (Please take these with you.) Address : Apartment 1.1, Block 10, Los Jardines De Santa Maria Golf, Elviria, Marbella, 29600 The apartment is situated on the first floor of block 10. Coming up the stairs or from
the lift it is the end apartment after turning left. Contacting the agent who will check you in and out of the apartment: Once you have arrived at the entrance to Los Jardines please telephone Fiona (Telephone
number will be supplied on booking confirmation). You should get straight through as she will have already checked when your
plane left the UK and arrived at Malaga and will be expecting your call. She lives on the complex. It is about 30 minutes to the apartment so Fiona will know your approximate arrival
time and will be waiting for you to arrive. Please go straight to the apartment without stopping to go shopping, otherwise
Fiona will not know what has happened to you. When you arrive at the entrance you will see the security guard’s building. Say
you are staying in apartment 1.1 block 10 and are meeting Fiona. Park near the entrance for a minute until Fiona arrives.
When Fiona gets to the entrance you can then follow her to the entrance of the block or garage area. Fiona will show you around
the apartment, explain how to operate various items and give you the keys. Please normally park your car in the garage space
provided. (At other times just drive up to the window and use the remote control that Fiona will
give you.) The remote control or the guard will open the gate, if it is not already open. Many of the guards speak very acceptable
English. In the unlikely event of having problems whilst at the apartment, please contact Fiona
on her telephone. (If you cannot contact her and you desperately need to talk with some one immediately, call me on my mobile.
(Telephone number will be supplied on booking confirmation.) (You might need to ensure your mobile will work when abroad prior to departure. If
it will not, please tell me so we can make arrangements. ) Malaga airport. Taxis. Once you eventually emerge from collecting your cases, etc., and into the public area,
you need to turn right to actually exit the airport through glass doors. The taxi rank is situated slightly to the left of the doors. There are normally many
taxis waiting. ( It costs around 55 Euros for the journey but that might vary for number of people and cases.) If the driver does not understand where you want to go show him the address and directions
printed at the end of these instructions. It is an easy drive and he should not have any problems. Car Hire. Some car hire firms are situated outside the airport. In that situation the representative
will be waiting just as you enter the public area. The better known companies like Avis, Hertz, Crown, etc. are situated on
the floor under where you collect your cases. It is easy to miss the entrance to this area so you need to keep a good lookout.
To find the entrance it is better to walk along the right hand side of the hall after picking up your cases. On the right
hand side, towards the end, just prior to the exit into the public area you will see notices and a slope down to the car hire
offices area. This only applies to the old arrival building. The new building is easier as you walk straight by the car hire
places. Trains. It is possible to go to Fuengirola by train and then catch bus or taxi. I have tried
both routes and would not recommend train and bus. It takes too long. Train and taxi is Ok but takes about 1.25 hours and
will cost you 20 Euros for the taxi and 1.75 Euros for the train for each person. Personally I will not bother again. Route to Elviria. The exit (salida) from the airport will take you in the direction of the main road.
Keep going straight for a few hundred metres / yards, it’s a relatively short distance, until you see signs to CADIZ
/ ALGECIRAS on the N340 / A7 / E15. This will take you down a slip road on the right. You will join a three lane road for
a while. Stay in the centre or right lane. You are looking for a blue sign for CADIZ / ALGECIRAS number A7 / E15, the slip
road goes off to the right. You will join a three lane motorway which heads up hill. Continue up to the top of
the hill and you will have nice views to the left. Continue under the gondola (operating from Tivoli world, Benalmedena). Eventually you will start to go down hill. Towards the bottom of the hill the road
splits into two. The left two lanes take you to the pay motorway. AP7 Pejage. (Autopista AP is a toll motorway, autovia
A is a dual carriageway). Do not use the toll motorway. You want the right two lanes, there should be signs to FUENGIROLA,
number N340/A7. The road continues as a two lane dual carriageway. You will see Fuengirola as a series of high rise apartment
blocks. You will pass the Aquapark on the left with its water slides. On the right will be the large shopping centre El Cortez
Ingles and later another called Myramar. Continue on the N340 past the lighthouse EL FARO on your right and around a number
of quite tight bends. Eventually you will pass LA CALA and then CALAHONDA. (You might have noticed a small sign every now and then at the road side marked Km
and a number. These are the kilometres from Cadiz. Keep an eye out for them.) After CALAHONDA you drive for about three minutes then you will go down hill slightly
and there will be a petrol station called CAMPSA on the left carriageway and then one on your carriageway also
called CAMPSA. Less than half a kilometre past the Campsa Petrol Station you will see the LAS CHAPAS
HOTEL on your right AT THE Km 192 MARKER. You will also see a sign for ELVIRIA and a slip road on the right to Las Chapas
hotel and the shops. You will then see another large sign on the over head bridge saying ELVIRIA/Cambio
de sentido. TAKE EITHER THE FIRST ROAD PAST LAS CHAPAS OR THE SECOND. Slow down and take care. Both slip roads end up at a busy roundabout. Go straight over. (Note these are the nearest shopping centres. The taxi rank is in the opposite shopping
centre. The beach is over the bridge and down the hill.) TAKE THE FIRST RIGHT AFTER ABOUT 50 METRES / YARDS, NEXT TO THE ORIENT PALACE CHINESE
RESTAURANT. After a few hundred yards / metres, going along this road, the Avenida Valeriano Rodrequez, TAKE THE FIRST LEFT.
This will take you to a small round about. You will see the entrance to Los Jardines De Santa Maria Golf in front of you.
You have arrived! For The Taxi Driver Para La Dirección Del Conductor Del Taxi: LOS JARDINES DE SANTA MARIA GOLF, ELVIRIA, MARBELLA, 29600 toma del kilómetro 192 el A7 entonces N340 más allá de FUENGIROLA, continúa más allá del LA CALA y entonces CALAHONDA. para arriba en un cruce giratorio ocupado. VAYA RECTO SOBRE EL CRUCE GIRATORIO. TOME EL PRIMER DERECHO DESPUÉS DE CERCA DE 50 METROS, AL LADO DEL RESTAURANTE DEL CHINO DEL PALACIO DE ORIENTE. Después
de algunos cientos metros que van a lo largo de este camino, el Avenida Valeriano Rodrequez, TOMA EL PRIMER A LA IZQUIERDA. Esto le llevará a un redondo pequeño alrededor. Usted verá la entrada al Los Jardines De
Santa María Golf delante de usted. ¡Usted ha llegado! About Elviria Elviria is known as a prestigious area. Many of the detached villas you will see, are
worth well over a million pounds. The beach is one of the best in the area. In the apartment you will find a guide book we have created. It contains a little map
of the area showing how to get to the shops, beaches and other items. It also contains leaflets on many of the attractions
in the area. If you use any of the maps or leaflets, please replace them before you leave. Taxi stand. The nearest taxi stand is situated on the edge of the nearby shopping centre. As you
go out from Los Jardines, retrace your arrival route by taking the second left (about 9 o’clock) and then after a short
way turn right and follow the way you came in. At the cross roads, use the zebra crossing and go to the furthest side (next
to the ice cream shop) then go towards the round about. The taxis are situated next to the round about, in the car park of
the shops. There is normally plenty but the number gets less the later in the evening you get. If you know you want one later
in the evening it might be worth going earlier in the day and booking one. Bus stop. The bus stop is situated on the road you came along from Malaga, next to the bridge
that has the Elviria sign on it. Take the same route as for the taxis but at the cross roads, just turn left and stay
on the same side as the Oriental Palace restaurant. There are no paths to the bus stop. You need to walk over the grass down
to near the bottom of the bridge. The side of the main road you reach first, will take you to Marbella. Over the bridge on
the other side will take you to Malaga direction. Doctors and Hospital. Hopefully you will not need the services of a doctor and it is worth remembering that
for minor ailments the Farmacia (Chemist) can usually help. However if you do need one follow the same route as for the taxi.
Just prior to the corner with Orient Palace on it, there is an apartment block. A doctor uses one of the apartments as a surgery.
There is an entrance phone to ring through to the surgery. In addition, on many of the lamp posts, including those just outside
Los Jardines, you will find an advert and telephone number for English speaking doctors. The nearest hospital is situated
about 10 minutes drive away, between Elviria and Marbella. Drive to the roundabout near the taxis, down onto the main road,
following signs to Marbella. You will see the Hospital on the right after a short way and then the slip road to it. Shopping Centres. There are four shopping centres all situated in about five minutes walk, plus more
shops and restaurants a little further off. The route to the shops is the same as for the taxi. The first shopping centre is Orient Palace side. It has two Chinese restaurants, an
Indian restaurant, an Italian restaurant and three further Tapas bar / restaurants. A small supermarket that stays open until
2am (but is slightly more expensive than the large one). A farmacia (chemist) shop. A health food shop. A flower shop and
some estate agents. It also has some banks with ATM machines in the wall. If you continue around the slip road you will get
to Las Chapas hotel with bars and restaurants and some times a show at night. The second and larger shopping centre is across the road where the taxis are situated.
The largest and very good supermarket is situated in the corner. There are three bar /café / restaurants. A handyman shop.
A travel agent (you can probably book any trips via them). Two hair dressers. A tourist items + general shop. Two furniture
shops and some estate agents.There are also some banks with ATM machines in the wall. In the upstairs section there is a dentist
(English speaking), a solicitors office and estate agent related offices. If you walk to the end of this centre and continue via the slip road you will come
to the third small parade of shops. Included here is a Chinese restaurant, a pizza restaurant, a flower shop and some offices.
If you continue even further you come to more restaurants and shops. The fourth shopping area is across the bridge. Here you will find a third supermarket,
a photo shop, an internet shop (but not the cheapest), a fish restaurant and upstairs is another dentist. Just prior to the
shops, if you go down the slip road towards Marbella (to the right) is another restaurant. On the opposite side is the Alanda
Club hotel. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel and sometimes a show at night. You can also get photo copying done
and they have a fax machine and internet access. You can probably book any trips you want via them. If you continue up the hill and then left at the roundabout and go along that road,
you will get to the Don Carlos hotel (the tall hotel you can see). It has restaurants and bars and often has a show on at
night. If you continue straight across the cross roads (at Orient Palace ) and after a while
turn left at the T junction. The road bends around and comes to another cross roads. Around the back towards the main road
you will find more shops including the post office. (However you can normally get stamps for cards at the selling shop.) If
you continue straight over this cross roads and follow the road around you will pass an organic food shop and at the T junction
go left for more shops, a pizza restaurant, an Italian restaurant and a French restaurant. At the end, just prior to the main
road, (next to the office building) take the small road on the right and there you will find more restaurants and the DVD
rental shop. To rent a DVD you will need to show your passport. Around the back of this parade is a shop with internet access
priced at around 1 Euro per half hour. (This parade is a decent walk away and is easier in the car unless you like to walk.) (Not in Elviria but for further shopping you have Marbella itself. Just outside Marbella
there is the Cañadas shopping centre and in the opposite direction the Myramar complex at Fuengirola and Fuengirola itself.)
(The Myramar complex also has a multi screen cinema normally with two films in English.) The Beach. To get to the beach go the same as for the taxi. Then continue over the bridge continuing
straight over any road junctions and down the hill. The beach is at the bottom. On the edge of the beach there is a fish restaurant
where you can also get drinks. There are also toilets and a place to hire sun loungers and shades. You can also hire various
small boats here. By walking in either direction you will find more restaurants and bars. Golf. The nearest golf course is Santa Maria Golf course. It is less than 5 minutes walk
away. Turn right outside the main gates. At the roundabout continue right and you will see the entrance to the golf course.
It has various facilities including a bar / restaurant. It often has special offers running. Within 15 minutes drive from
the apartment there are seven more golf courses. There are also many more situated less than an hours drive away. It is better
to get a map of the various courses if you want to play at many different courses. Night Clubs. There are no night clubs in Elviria. However there are plenty in Marbella and Fuengirola.
